The Camden County School System consists of thirteen schools. There are nine elementary schools with grades K-5; two middle schools with grades 6-9; one high school with grades 9-12; and one special needs school. Our county library facilities include the Camden County Public Library and the St. Marys Library, as well as Woodbine's Bryan-Lang Historical Library. Camden County School System
You will become part of Georgia's most rapidly growing area by moving to Camden County. This growth gives us the opportunity to expand and develop our educational program into one of the best. A strong emphasis on the student's development of the basic learning skills is placed in the elementary schools. Camden County's elementary schools were among some of the first schools to be accredited. All of Camden County's schools are accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. When your child reaches the middle schools he will continue to build on the basic skills learned in the elementary levels. A comprehensive curriculum is designed to help the student's knowledge expand while making the transition to high school easier. Camden County High School has a broad curriculum designed to stimulate academic growth. Of Camden County graduates more than 50% continue to higher levels of learning. The Air Force Academy, Auburn University, The University of Florida, and the University of Georgia are just a few of the many fine universities in the southeast that our graduates are attending.
Entrance Ages
A child must be five years of age on or before September 1, to be admitted to the preschool Program and six years of age on or before September 1, to be admitted into first grade. In the preschool program, three and four year old children who are either physically, mentally, or emotionally handicapped, Or perceptually or linguistically deficient, shall be eligible for enrollment. No exceptions will be made for children who enter kindergarten or first grade in private schools and then wish to transfer to public schools; exception may be made for children who were legal resident one or more states for a period of two years immediately prior to moving to Georgia and who were legally enrolled in public kindergarten or a kindergarten accredited by a state or regional association,
Camden County Schools shall determine that students who are entering a Georgia public school for the first time meet the immunization requirements. Any child entering the Camden County Schools for the first time, regardless of grade level, must have been immunized against diphtheria, measles, mumps, polio, rubella, tetanus, and whopping cough prior to admission. Parents are responsible for Seeing that this is done.

High School Graduation Requirements
Students enrolled in Camden County High School shall have a choice of 4 diploma plans: Technical (22), Technical Plus (24), College Preparatory (22), College Preparatory Plus (24) Each of the plans requires the student to complete a total number of Carnegie Units for graduation. This is annotated by (*). A minimum of 22 credits are required for graduation.
